I have spent an enjoyable Bank Holiday Monday proof reading my latest story, The Delinquent Bride, once more. I have read the whole thing from start to finish and then done a search of the entire story to ensure I only made my stupid mistake once! I know of course that the Titanic sailed from Southampton, and most of my references to this were correct, but at one point I had her sailing from Sheffield, which I am told is approximately 60 miles from the coast. Oops!
Another silly mistake was to give Lady Annabel a sex change when I referred to her as Lord Annabel! Double oops!
I have really enjoyed writing this story and I even added a little epilogue today, which I think finishes it off nicely as I was unhappy with the end I had. I felt it needed a little something more.
I have just sent it to my publisher and hope he is as happy with it as I am. Fingers crossed!
