I wasn’t happy to be woken at 5.50am this morning by my dog licking my face, but I got up, let her into the garden and I’m pleased that it gave me the opportunity to sit and write for an hour and a half before going to work. I’ve finished the 12th chapter of The Delinquent Bride and am over halfway through the 13th chapter. I hope to finish that chapter tonight then there will just be the final chapter, which I have already made brief notes for. Chapters 1-8 have been checked and re-checked several times, but I’d like to go over the rest of the chapters a few times before I’m happy with it. Hopefully on Sunday I’ll be ready to do a final read of the whole story before sending it to my publisher and crossing my fingers tightly, hoping that he likes it.
